This recording is from a livestream recorded Thursday May 28, 2020 for Verses Records. XAMBUCA was Chandra Shukla and Geo Lynx. Unfortunately as live streaming was new to us in early 2020 when the pandemic was two months in, we experienced a technical video mishap hence the title of this piece. It's appropriately named "Playing to A Blank Screen" as streaming attendees could hear us but couldn't see anything other than a blank, black screen in part to our video failing. We had beautiful visuals prepared and our only camera connected to OBS died. They could only hear our sounds but in the end we were so happy with the strength of the sounds alone that we didn't end up needing visuals after all. Alas, here it is. We just want to say that live streaming is a terrible medium and we wait for a world where we can perform live again someday. We have since matured and are adept at it but it still is a lame format. Thank you.
