In September of 2010, my friend Dave Jones (Sturgeon Hoof) asked me to perform on a bill slated for Saturday September 18, 2010 at the Be Be Theater in Asheville, NC. We agreed along with his own act Sturgeon Hoof and two other Asheville acts. I played second in the lineup and the result was this. The event was called "Big Sound". This was the beginning of a new sound that would be the basis for "það var eyja, þetta er hafið". Later I ditched the laptop unless it was used for live visuals, something that will never change going forward for performing live.
